5/5
Through my Level 5 Digital Learning Designer apprenticeship, I have developed strong skills in digital learning design, accessibility, and project management. I have applied learning theories and structured design models such as ADDIE to create inclusive, user‑centred learning solutions aligned to organisational needs. The apprenticeship strengthened my ability to manage digital learning projects, collaborate effectively with stakeholders and SMEs, and communicate clearly throughout the design process. It also embedded reflective practice and continuous professional development, enabling me to evaluate and improve the quality and impact of digital learning experiences in my role.

I have applied learning theories and structured design models such as ADDIE to create inclusive, user‑centred learning solutions aligned to organisational needs. How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
The apprenticeship programme was well structured, with a clear learning journey that progressively built my knowledge, skills, and confidence over time. The blend of online modules, live workshops, coaching sessions, and workplace application allowed theory to be applied directly to real projects. Content was sequenced logically from foundational learning design principles through to project management, quality assurance, and reflective practice, which supported steady progression and avoided overload. Regular reviews and portfolio milestones provided clear direction and helped maintain focus on both development and end‑point assessment preparation.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I received strong and ongoing support from my employer throughout the apprenticeship. This included protected time for off‑the‑job training, encouragement to apply learning directly to live workplace projects, and regular check‑ins with my line manager to review progress and development. I was supported to build my portfolio, seek feedback, and engage with stakeholders across the organisation, which helped strengthen both my confidence and the quality of my work. This consistent support played a key role in enabling me to successfully progress through the programme alongside my day‑to‑day role.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
My qualification through the training provider has significantly helped me perform better in my role. It strengthened my understanding of digital learning design, learning theory, and accessibility, which I have been able to apply directly to real workplace projects. The programme encouraged a more structured and reflective approach to my work, improved my confidence in managing learning design decisions, and enhanced my ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. Overall, the learning was highly relevant and has had a clear, positive impact on the quality and effectiveness of my practice.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
Yes, there are a range of extra‑curricular activities available at work. These include professional communities of practice, such as learning and digital skills networks, where staff share updates, good practice, and resources. There are also wellbeing initiatives, staff networks (for example LGBTQ+ and wellbeing events), webinars, and online learning events that staff are encouraged to participate in. These opportunities support both professional development and wider engagement across the organisation, alongside optional social and wellbeing activities
