Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to learn and assist in how to run a construction site safely, efficiently and to the Building Regulations, working with experienced managers for their advice and knowledge on construction management. On a day-to-day basis i will monitor subcontractors and trades to ensure work is on schedule and to a good standard, co-ordinate deliveries such as materials needed on site. Ensuring health and safety is being followed this includes PPE being worn, RAMS in place, toolbox talks and site inductions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have always enjoyed construction and figuring out how everything works. SJRoberts has helped me and given me an opportunity to further my knowledge to pursue the career i am interested in.

I have learnt many new skills and refined existing skills, some of the new skills i have picked up come from some of the qualifications i now hold such:

I receive as much support as needed, there are always people I can go to if I ever get stuck or confused with tasks, everyone is very supportive
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor is a massive help, constantly putting his 100% into everything and supporting me whenever i need it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Everything I do with my training provider, I can relate to the work I have been doing on-site which then helps me use what i have been taught in the classroom in real world situations
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a yearly run put on for staff as well as a football match that staff members can participate in.

i would say show them how reliable, willing to learn, hardworking and driven you are to get into the construction industry
