The Hospitality Manager role provides operational leadership, compliance assurance, and quality improvement across six care homes. The role is both operational and preventative, focusing on maintaining safe, compliant services while supporting teams, improving consistency, and reducing regulatory and reputational risk. My purpose ensure safe, compliant, high-quality food and hospitality services across all homes, supporting residents’ wellbeing, staff confidence, and regulatory compliance while maintaining consistency and continuous improvement.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy being upskilled and pushed out of my comfort zone, feeling myself grow in certain situations, it's fantastic to catch yourself grow.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i've learnt communication skills, i've learnt how to delegate. I've learnt how to build a high performing team using SMART objectives for example, i've learnt how to plan my day effectively. I've learnt about policies regarding EDI (Equality, Diversion and Inclusion) and different tools regarding communication and implementing policies/procedures.

It's definitely helping me, in regards to managing my time, my workload, my team, how i communicate, i understand the reason for my role and what my purpose is through looking at 'WHY'.

Be consistent, work hard and you'll be recognised. If you want to be a manager or something else, make it known and ask what path you would need to get there.
