Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role is to help out different areas of the tax department whether this be corporate tax returns, VAT, SAO. There is a variety of work available as long as you're open to it.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
You are given a lot of responsibility and independence. My manager allows me to feel part of the team and feel like I'm doing useful work rather than admin work.

Excel skills have definitely been improved, also basic outlook and communication skills are required as when your sending emails and communicating to colleagues its important to be able to get your ideas across through text instead of always calling.

i was support throughout my placement, you are given HR contacts and whenever there was an issue there was always someone there to assist you.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere is very good. Especially at Pinley and Luton thee is one big office space so you feel part of the team and you see new people every day.
