Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As part of my apprenticeship, I complete approximately 35 hours a month of work alongside my role. This work is structured through an online learning portal, where I complete a range of tasks and modules focused on data analysis and the practical use of Microsoft software. Activities involve developing and applying analytical skills to real-world scenarios to support decision making and improve processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the apprenticeship as it provides structured learning that is directly relevant to my role and it helps me to develop my data analysis skills and confidence using Microsoft software such as Excel. The tasks are engaging and allow me to apply what I learn straight away. I also value the flexibility of the programme, which enables me to balance my apprenticeship work alongside my day-to-day responsibilities.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed both new and existing skills on the programme. I have strengthened my data analysis abilities, particularly through increased confidence in using Excel. I have also improved my problem solving skills and attention to detail when working with data.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well organised and clearly structured. The online learning portal provides a clear framework, with tasks and modules set out well and aligned to learning objectives. This means I can track progress easily and know what is required at each stage.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a great level of support from my employer. I am trusted to manage and complete my apprenticeship tasks independently and I am regularly asked for feedback I have received.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a strong level of support from Corndel including monthly one to one meetings with my personal tutor, which provide personalised guidance, feedback and progress updates. There are also regular workshops with other apprentices, allowing us to revisit the skills we have gained and share our experiences.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The programme supports me well in performing my role more effectively. The learning is closely aligned with the skills I use in my day to day work, particularly in data analysis.

Why?
I would recommend the programme as it is well structured, relevant to my role and the support is great. The balance of independent learning, regular one to one support and group workshops keeps the programme engaging and effective and it can be very easily fit alongside my current role.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Corndel?
I would advise to be organised with your learning. Managing your time effectively is important and engaging with the one to one sessions and workshops is crucial.
