We are on 4 weekly rotations of different engineering skills and practices. we learn these skills practically and theoretically.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it thoroughly, the skills that I'm learning are important to me and important to the role that i want to go into.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've developed many skills such as welding, fluid power, mechanical systems, electronics, electrical and programmable logic control.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Every Monday is our college day, this equates to our 20% classroom based work. Tuesday to Friday we are in the workshop learning practical skills
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Any questions we need are answered, support throughout the years can be seen through the next year apprentices and we ae told how we will progress through the years
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

BMET are a good training provider and are very well structured although the don't take feedback too well on teacher performance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The theory helps me understand the practical work lots better. it'll be very useful as i progress through the years and my knowledge progresses further.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
