Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Also studying a BTEC where I am taught about health and safety, engineering drawings, maths for engineers, communications for engineers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
How much support do you receive from your employer?
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
I also think that better support could be given with the mathematics modules. Due to the entry requirements for this role not needing the applicant to have A-level maths, there is a discrepancy with assumed knowledge. Some of my peers have studied A-level maths, but I didn't and haven't studied maths for a long time. I wasn't given the best support with this, and wasn't given extra time to help me fully understand all the concepts. The teacher would assume we would know things which I wasn't taught in school.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Now that we have started the year, there isnt many opportunities presented to participate in extra-curricular activities. It would be nice if our employer introduced opportunities like this.
