Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Maintaining machinery on the production line and ensuring all processes work as they should. Additionally looking for improvement techniques and finding more efficient ways of working.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Good programme however lacks structure and organisation. Certain areas more catering than others however left to own resources at times aswell.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt many skills in fluid power, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, hand fitting, plus many others. Oppurtunity to go on to do a foundation degree offered so oppurtunity to progress given you perform.

Lack of structure and organisation. Placement plans not clear or organised. Expected to find own way.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Always willing to help and will go the extra mile. Just a communication barrier between them and our line managers.

Always willing to help and always available when reach out.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Level of training is poor, must take things on your own back and work in your own time to keep up with it. Often have lecturers off or not fit for the role so find a lot of the time we have to self teach and spend extra time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are charity teams and sports events that go on the side. oppurtunity to go to do networking events.

Good company to work for however require a better training provider and structure and organisation needs thoroughly looking through.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Read up on the role beforehand, dont walk into it blind as it may not be the right thing for you. Also be prepared to put in the hard work as you are working a full time job alongside studying.
