carry out routine maintenance on die tools, complete work required illustrated by the plan.
attend breakdowns and be able to raise work orders when needed

the job is very sociable and the work very enjoyable

developed skills like craning using forklifts and kills like welding and grinding

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the 1st year is focused on college and completing b-tech and lvl2 where your second third and fourth is spent completing your NVQ and EPA but also moving around different places within the business

How much support do you receive from your employer?

support is very good have very good union people mental health aiders, but also time to complete work is adequate

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

the company is very involved with both the college side and the NVQ/EPA side so ant issues are normally raised and dealt with quickly

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

provides with general knowledge so i have a better understanding of certain mechanical or engineering principles

many events a lot of work done within the community but also with the company sports events, walks, runs

the business is fun, sociable, work is manageable, enjoyable and interesting, the facilities are great, there are so many opportunities throughout the apprenticeship.
