Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have a varied role, the first 3 years of my apprenticeship I have been undertaking 3-month cycles of placements around the business learning about different logistics teams and processes as well as other parts of the company such as production steering, quality and HR.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really like the variety of the apprenticeship program, learning a lot about the different business areas and developing and applying the range of skills I've learnt in college to the workplace. I also enjoy the range of extra-curricular activities available as well as opportunities to work at different sites.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of skills ranging from specific tools and processes within different business areas as well as core theoretical concepts in college / university.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured program, the placements are planned well in advance and can be changed if i like By-in-large the placements themselves are well structured and always allow sufficient time and space to complete my University requirements.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Employer is excellent in this regard, always available if i need support as well as providing lots of online tool / support forums for additional support if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training provider is excellent. My tutors always go above and beyond to help and explain core concepts further or if i need help with technology issues.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course is very relevant to my role. The training provider focuses on teaching the concepts and theory rather than the specific tech tool itself which is very beneficial as i can then apply it to the tools my company uses.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Lots of extra curricular programs to be apart of from newsletter, to charity to SharePoint team. I do feel more could be done by the training team to create extra opportunities like networking events or site visits rather than this being lead by apprentices.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Research the company and show genuine interest when in an assessment centre or interview. Showing optimism and willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team will really help.
