I am an apprentice installation electrician. On a day to day basis, I work on a site in Harwell, learning how to do specific jobs that need doing, and then giving them a go myself.

I have learned the basics of being an electrician, and I am starting to have more independence on site because of it.

i have a good balance of being on dite and in college. i am in college every 2 weeks.

A lot, they make sure we have a good understanding of the subject before moving on.

Surrounded by people with a good work ethic, who are also eager to teach you the trade, and there is lots of support available.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Darke and Taylor?
Make sure you properly apply yourself to the theory in college or you will struggle to understand a lot of site work.
