Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the virtual internship and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The virtual experience was 2 days long. Each day started with a short agenda and an ice breaker. The first day mainly consisted of Deloitte's ethics and how they work. The second day was mainly preparation of our pitches that we had worked in groups to make, this was also presented at the end of the day. We were also able to talk to people that worked at Deloitte or graduates who were just starting to learn about their journey.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very captivating to learn about roles that I had never heard before. I began to also understand the complexity of running a company such as Deloitte.

I have learned how to properly present and pitch ideas in front of an audience. I have also learned the importance of working in a team and being open to suggestion and ideas. These have both greatly increased my confidence as well.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere was very uplifting as Deloitte is very keen on inclusivity and diversity. Therefore, the experience was very enjoyable.

To what extent did you enjoy the virtual internship?
It was very enjoyable to work as a team and brainstorm to solve different problems. The work also wasn't overloaded and was fun to do. I would definitely do another virtual experience like it.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte
I would say to be confident throughout the sessions and to always ask questions if you do have any as it will be beneficial to get answers as soon as possible. Remember that everyone else is in a similar position to yourself.
