Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Having begun as a mentor in the organisation, I was then offered the opportunity to train as a coach, and I started coaching members of the organisation.
This led to me being offered the opportunity to undertake a level 5 diploma in professional coaching, which is enabling me to gain a recognised qualification by undertaking a structured course which has given me knowledge, skills and confidence that I have applied in my role as a coach.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the coaching programme. Having been in the organisation for some time now, this has really reignited my passion for my job, and I have learnt a lot about myself and about how to effectively help others. I am excited to continue and to build on this moving forward.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt lots of new skills, from fundamentals and principles of coaching to models and tools, communication techniques, stakeholder working and the legal implications of the role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The course is well structured, using an external apprenticeship provider who have experience in delivering this course and provide very good and consistent support and guidance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive excellent support from my employer, allowing me time to study, opportunities for observation and development sessions and structured supervision.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive excellent support from the training provider, with monthly 1-2-1's, progress reviews, workshops, weekly updates and ad-hoc support whenever needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
This support and the knowledge and skills I am learning are undoubtably improving the quality of the coaching provision that I can provide.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have had the opportunity to join professional coaching groups and associations, and had actively used these to network and to enrol in additional learning opportunities.
