It combines academic study with hands‑on engineering placements across the plant, supporting vehicle production, manufacturing systems, and process improvement activities. The role involves applying engineering principles to real production environments, contributing to projects such as system integration, quality assurance, digitalisation, and continuous improvement, while developing professional skills through structured placements and mentorship within BMW Group’s manufacturing operations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship, and after speaking to apprentices across the industry in automotive engineering the benefits and opportunities of a BMW apprenticeship seems to be above the rest, with competitive salary, work car scheme, and good friendly working hours.

I have learnt a very broad range of skills, and gained a great array of qualifications, training, and upskilling opportunities.
