Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I mostly do compliance work, preparing elements for tax computations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I like that go to uni in batches so I get time just for work where I am not studying. I like my team and cohort they made me feel really comfortable and I settled in easily.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've study level 3 accounting so I learnt many new skills. From my job alone I have developed many soft skills as well as tax technical skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
There are definitely areas for improvement, mostly in the initial onboarding stage making sure we have the right software applications ect. Once settled into the role the structure is good. You have enough time to study and studies are tailored around our busiest seasons at work to alleviate stress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is lost of support for any issue. You are given a team buddy from day one, performance manager and people leader who are your main points of contact for issues. There are also many helplines and contacts for any issues on our company intranet.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There is a lot of support available on the website. There is an extensive library of study material to help you prepare for exams. You can easily contact your tutors during tuition and leading up to exams. There is also sufficient additional support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualifications are great for understanding accounting principals which is especially useful for compliance work. The only issue is the materials in the qualifications are based on 'perfect' examples whereas in the real workplace a lot of the information is presented differently.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
On our intranet there are over 50 workplace clubs and societies for you to join, not only sports related. You can also easily start your own club/society.
