Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a daily basis as a care coordinator, my role involves managing staff rotas, coordinating logins and logouts, processing and confirming timesheets, and organising annual leave. I also respond to staffing challenges by arranging cover for sickness and last-minute absences, ensuring continuity of care at all times.
In addition, I handle incoming and outgoing communications, including replying to emails, answering phone calls, and managing triage to prioritise urgent issues. I regularly problem-solve to address staffing gaps, operational challenges, and service needs efficiently. I communicate closely with care staff and management, update scheduling systems, and ensure all shifts are appropriately staffed in line with care requirements.
I also maintain accurate records, support compliance with company policies, and contribute to delivering a high standard of care. My role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly to changing situations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my Level 3 Business Administrator programme. I am learning a lot of new skills and knowledge that I can apply directly to my role, which makes it very rewarding. The programme is also pushing me outside of my comfort zone, helping me to grow both professionally and personally, which I find very motivating.
I particularly enjoy developing my understanding of organisation, communication, and problem-solving, as these are key skills in my day-to-day work. The course has also improved my confidence, especially in handling responsibilities and managing tasks more effectively.
