Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As an Intern, I worked with my team and assisted in various audit procedures in Planning and Execution. Working on and updating excel spreadsheets and creating samples was what I did on a daily basis. Also every Friday was for completing our group CSR projects with the other interns.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, everyday was fully packed and was a new learning experience. Even if we didn't had anything constructive to do (once a while), we had to complete workday trainings or work on our CSR Projects.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Learnt a lot of new commands on Ms Excel and have drastically improved my efficiency in using the software. I fulfilled most of my objectives, including understanding basic audit procedures across sectors such as NRES, Tech & Media, Consumer Markets and TRA; attending an ETD (engagement team discussion) and multiple Client meetings; and to meet, interact & learn with as many people.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I'll cherish my time here because of the immensely supportive and kind people I met and the sense of belongingness around the firm. All the trainees, managers and partners I worked with were extremely helpful and approachable. There wasn't a single moment where I felt helpless.
