Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The role provides comprehensive HR administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll changes, absence management and employee relations. It acts as a first point of contact for HR queries, manages shared inboxes, maintains GDPR‑compliant records, and produces essential HR documentation. Responsibilities include supporting new starters and leavers, coordinating occupational health referrals, generating reports, raising purchase orders, and assisting with HR initiatives. The role also involves iTrent system administration—updating employee and contractual information, processing starters and leavers, supporting users, maintaining system accuracy, and assisting with system development and upgrades.

The apprenticeship is allowing me to build essential practical skills and knowledge through a combination of on‑the‑job experience and guided learning. I have gained a better understanding of my day yo day responsibilities.

I have developed a great confidence in supporting managers with queries, our new stater on boarding process and understanding the HR law.
