Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves helping out Lead Portfolio Managers in my team with their various projects. This involves earthworks, structures, buildings etc. I carry out a large variety of project management activities and also go out on sites.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as it is highly rewarding and always gives me new challenges to keep me motivated and working hard.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many new skills at both Network Rail and York St John University. This involves skills across both project management and more general skills required for university and office work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured for the most part. I enjoyed the mixture of office and online work and also enjoy the variety of delivery methods used by York St John University.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieved an exceptional amount of support from Network Rail and am comfortable that I know who I need to reach out to with any concerns if I have any.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I found the skills and knowledge obtained from my Project Management BSc at York St John University very beneficial to my day to day Project Management role at Network Rail as I frequently use them to help me complete relevant activities at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in social activities at Network Rail and I actively try to involve myself in as many as I can/have the time for.
