Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have been involved in various tasks in my role from measuring on site to creating variations and invoices for clients. In my day to day role, I will speak to clients and subcontractors about contracts i have running as well as updating any CVR's i have with costs and values. I will plan out works, and provide costs for these.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my internal programme and have learnt a lot and have 6 monthly check ups to ensure i am progressing in my role.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a range of skills in my role as when I started, I knew very little about the industry. I now know how to record Dim measurements correctly, create applications for clients, price up works using subcontract rates as well as using our own rates. I have learnt all about retrofit works and building regulations that need to be achieved to accomplish this.

Why?
I was recommended the role by a friend and really enjoy my job, I would recommend the role to friends of mine that are interested in the industry as you get a lot of support as well as progression and it is a job with lots of perks and enjoyability.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Ian Williams?
Ian Williams is a company that is open to everyone of all backgrounds, I had very little knowledge before I started so as long as you are prepared to work hard and ask for support then you will get what you need out of the role.
