My role involves caring for children and learning and teaching through play
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my apprenticeship a lot. I was able to gain 5 years experience from completing 2 apprenticeships with my setting. I am so greatful for the experiences as I am hopefully going to continue to develop my knowledge by going to university.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned how to lead a team, how to work as a team. Manage my time effectively. I have learned how to be organised and plan effectively for each child. I have learnt to work inclusively providing all children with the same opportunities.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was great. All online learning for most of it and meeting every so often with a tutor to go through my work and portfolio and have any professional discussions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Great support from my employer. Able to support me by giving me a place to complete my apprenticeship. Always pushing me to do achieve more.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Great support and clear consistent communication enabled me to complete my apprenticeship and get all my work done with information and guidance available when I needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps me perform better as I understand what my job requires. Overtime I have gained knowledge and skills based around my job that I am able to use on a daily basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are staff team building days out. Christmas parties and just days out in general for our team. We also do well being days.

Would you recommend Bonnie Bear Day Care to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The support is amazing and so is the nursery. It gives the children the best start in life offering outside agencies to come in and work with the children with additional needs, physical development coaches called little athletes and also extra phonics sessions. Bonnie bear have opened a forest school which provides opportunities to become forest school lead. You are able to continue to grow and develop through courses and apprenticeships with bonnie bear.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bonnie Bear Day Care?
My advice would be to definitely take the opportunity to work at bonnie bear. It’s home from home environment and learning is amazing.
