Helping out where I can within the workshop e.g housekeeping, odd jobs and FOH
And also doing my own jobs independently

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Quite a lot because I am passionate about cars so getting to work them everyday for work and getting to learn about them is quite enjoyable

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot in my time with Halfords and developed quite few new skills and bettered a lot my already existing skills

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It has its ups and downs and it’s not perfect, mainly on the college side of things with chopping and changing of classrooms
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received quite a bit of support on a lot of matters, they’re quite understanding and while to cater to whatever I need
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The first year of college was good and learnt a lot but the second year of college was a complete contrast to the year before because changed teacher and he wasn’t as passionate as my previous teacher so the learning slowed down drastically
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

not much but my teacher does provide us a few tips around the garage that are quite helpful
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

not many events offered to us as BOH staff but we did have a Christmas work dinner which was quite enjoyable

Would you recommend Halfords to a friend?
No
Why?
Because I don’t think many people would enjoy the long hours and intensity of the work if they weren’t as passionate about working with cars
