Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day basis I work in the garage helping my colleagues with their jobs and learning about each aspect of the cars and the job role itself, I do some jobs on my own such as tyre fitting. I work with multiple of the technicians at the site, getting an idea and insight into how things are done and what needs to be done when a problem arises.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I very much enjoy the program as this is something I have always wanted to do and have a genuine passion for.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt some new skills and been taught how to use machines and certain tools, while also expanding on my already existing knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The program is very well organised and every team member is eager to help and support me in my journey in this apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support with whatever I may need support with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my mentors and trainers too, not just in showing me how things are done but also explaining every part of the process and answering whatever question I have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe my qualification and trainers help me massively in furthering myself in the job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
As far as I'm aware there isn't anything of the sorts however the job itself is very social and active so in a way there isn't much of a need for these activities as they are performed on a daily basis throughout the job.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Halfords to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Halfords as the company itself is very good in what they do, whether that's the autocare centres or the cycle centre, and they take pride in making sure all colleagues have the best possible time they can.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Halfords?
I'd say keep an open mind and be willing to learn as there is always more to learn in an area than one can know.
