Apprentice Sales Assistant Review

On a day-to-day basis I will go on tills and serve all our customers, ensuring I am providing excellent customer service and offering products that have great deals on. When we have delivery days, I help unload all the stock out in the right aisles, and make sure all the floors are clear and obstruction free. When doing delivery, we ensure to stock rotate, so all the products are in date, as well as organising it neatly and so it doesn’t cause damage to the packaging or stock. I also take part in completing date codes. This is where we check that all our items are in date, or if they need to be reduce. As well as this, I do price checks, pick lists and zero to zero, to ensure all our shelves are full and looking attractive to customers.

The programme is very organised. Me and assessor had meetings every 4 weeks, and I was able to contact her if I needed extra help and she would reply straight away, if not that same day. My assessor helped me understand everything I needed to know and made my online learning very clear and easy, on what needed to be completed.

My employer was very supportive in my apprenticeship. She would ensure I always did my training and gave me the correct amount of time, as well giving me opportunities to learn new skills on the shop floor. She and my assessor would also work together, to help me with my targets and training.
