Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I really enjoy my role as an HR Officer. My role is to support the organisation in managing its people effectively while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies. I act as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters and help maintain a positive and professional working environment.
On a day-to-day basis, my responsibilities include providing HR advice and guidance to managers and staff, supporting recruitment processes such as advertising roles, shortlisting candidates and coordinating interviews, and managing onboarding for new employees. I also maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensure documentation is up to date, and assist with payroll-related administration where required.
Another key part of my role involves supporting employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and general employee wellbeing. I help ensure that company policies are applied fairly and consistently, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
I also assist with HR projects, policy updates, and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational effectiveness. Overall, my role focuses on supporting both employees and management while contributing to the smooth and compliant operation of the HR function.
