Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a training Coordinator within HR I am responsible for the training and development of all staff. This includes compliance training, delivering training and booking training. I conduct formal performance meetings with staff to support growth and development. I also look after all new apprentices and support them in their journey.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my apprenticeship with Bridmet as it support my growth within the business and opened up more opportunity for me. Learning whilst working suits my learning style.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Massively, I learnt a lot during my apprenticeship and continue to learn and develop with my role. Bridmet offer the opportunity to stretch you and the opportunity to grow. My advice is to want to learn and continue moving forward, if you don't show you want it then it may not happen.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have been supported every step of the way, regular reviews, feedback and continued opportunity. With other apprentices who have completed and been in the company for years there is a good support structure.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Regular check ins and work to support learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was great. Offering teaching, coaching and mentoring I felt support every inch of the way.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Greatly, it provided me with the tools and resources to be able to manage teams, build relationships, make good decisions and provided me with confidence
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are regular social events, we also like to take part in charity awareness activities and we have a community fund that people can suggest ideas. Bridmet have regular engagement survey's and engagement forums to allow voices to be heard. they also promote diversity and inclusion through different events.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bridmet?
Remember and demonstrate the skill you show through interest and hobbies, if you have a portfolio bring that along to the interview. Research the business online first to ensure you understand what they do and be engaged during the discussions, they are providing their time for your future.
