Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am a program manager in apprenticeship, and I have taken an apprenticeship in coaching. This helped supporting my learners and colleagues of the organisation to be able to solve any challenging situations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the learning and the content of the course, I also enjoy being able to apply what I have learned in coaching session.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned how to effectively coach. I am learning how to use coaching to empower colleagues and clients within the organisation. I now feel more confident in supporting people in solving their own problems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The program is great, but it does leave us to our own device. It would be great to have more feedback in between sessions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer trusts me to take the time to complete my coursework, learning and coaching sessions. My employer is also supportive in giving me feedback, guidance and support that benefits my development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
As explained above
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I am able to effectively and purposefully use coaching to support learners when going in EPA, or suport colleagues in their development.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We are a very close team, and work well together. We have planned outing during the holidays to meet and spend time in the outdoors. For Christmas, in addition of having our night out, we also planned for a competition of desk decoration.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NBT to a friend?
Yes
Why?
This is a friendly and supportive working environment. The organisation is genuinely committed to developing its people and invests actively in their training. There is also a strong focus on improvement and positive change, which is embedded in the culture. I find that this mindset really encourages growth, continuous learning, and a willingness to improve in our day‑to‑day work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NBT?
There are many opportunities to make the most of the training and support available here. The organisation offers a wide range of development pathways, and NBT has its own Apprenticeship Centre, which creates even more space to explore your growth. This means you can regularly discuss your development needs and identify programmes that align with your goals and future career plans.
