Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
When starting my role at Minerva fire security I had never worked in an office and had no experience, so they took a chance on me and my willingness to learn. My job role used to intale doing the daily travel time for the engineers, booking in parcels and pushing through invoices. I have been here for a year and half now and have had a promotion and now my job role is service administrator this includes taking ownership of vehicles and booking them in for services and anytime there are other issues, I answer emails and queries i also have to keep up to date the maintenance contracts and ensure they are getting what they pay for this includes booking in services and scheduling engineers days.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed my apprenticeship and working with Minerva whilst completing my apprenticeship i liked that i could learn on the job and gain new experience. I also found my apprenticeship helpful as i gained new skills and also connected with other people my age doing the same course. I felt fully supported whilst working at Minerva to complete my apprenticeship, I was given allocated time to complete any work I had to get done so that i could fully concentrate whilst doing it. If i ever needed help or support i felt more then comfortable to ask my directors or colleagues. I felt they were trying to keep up to date on my progress and understand what i was learning about which i appreciated

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt lots of new skills over my apprenticehship this includes, my customer service skills when talking on the phone to clients, that was something i never felt comfortable doing when i first joined. I also felt i gained lots of organisational skills as i have had to plan engineers days. The main skill is my confidence and knowledge regarding the industry. I feel so much more confident and relaxed using technology and i have learnt some basic skills such as booking in vehicles for services sorting insurance details, paying for things via email these are skills I can use in my everyday life.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I would say very organised, they made sure i completed all works needed and gave me the correct time and understanding. The structure was also very well planned out as we had separate areas for me to complete my apprenticeship work so I wasnt distracted by my everyday work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I felt extremely supported by my employers, they made sure i had the time to complete any work, they also was always asking for updates on how i was getting on they was genuinely interested in my progress. I always felt comfortable to ask for help and advise if it was ever needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider was so supportive. she always made sure i had everything needed. We would constantly go over practice questions before an exam as she knew how much I hated them. We had regular 1-2-1 meetings and also meeting with my employer to speal about my progress. She would always respond quickly if I ever asked a question. She would always check I had all the information after a workbook.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel it helped me learn different techniques and also different abilities and understandings that I could use during my day to day role. I also got a lot of Knowledge through my apprenticeship that I wouldn't have got from just the job role which i believe has helped me not just within my role but also outside of work aswell.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We do a christamas party, there is also usually a summer get together and there will occasionally be an office only outing however there are no sports teams or very regular events.
