Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My internship consisted of shadowing the different roles: Business Analyst, Developer and QA on my team and completing the different tasks assigned to me.
Also attended different social events, panels with senior management and speaker series.
Completed technical trainings and learnings

I picked up on tasks during the sprint planning and worked towards making the changes.

I have improved on my existing coding skills and have learnt new technical skills, about programming languages and tools used by my team on a daily basis.

I had regular catch up sessions with my manager where we would talk about the progress towards the goals I have set up at the start of the internship
Buddy scheme very helpful where I could ask for questions to someone on the graduate scheme

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone is very nice and willing to help despite their busy schedules
Always lovely to have a chat with other people on the floor to learn more about what they are working on.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

The internship was an enriching experience where i was able to develop my soft and technical skills
I have met people from various backgrounds and working on different projects.
I am thrilled to have spent my summer internship at UBS.
