Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role was to keep the shop replenished and ensure all legal procedures are done correctly, health and safety policies were adhered to and to provide excellent customer service.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship has been amazing, my apprentice tutor was more helpful than I could have imagined. She would always be there to answer any questions I had and also made every task clear.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My confidence throughout the programme grew a lot which I never thought would be possible. Also my knowledge in retail grew too including aspects such as sales figures and how to read between it and understand every aspect of the figures.

The structure is seamless, everything is always clear and it has never made me stressed or confused.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support, they always took an interest in my progression throughout the programme and would always be there if I had any questions.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support has been incredible, they would always make sure you have the correct equipment to complete your tasks and make sure that you are happy and safe in the environment.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It’s helped me massively with aspects such as confidence, knowledge and performance. When doing my daily tasks I not only have better knowledge but I now know why each task is important and why it needs to be completed.
