My role includes individual tasks being set within a timeframe alongside my usual work. These can be researching relevant topics and producing a document discussing how the topic effects my working day. This can also be reading, shadowing or mentoring, listening to relevant podcasts or learning offered by the scheme.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy the work set even though it can sometimes be challenging. I did struggle with sometimes not having enough time away from my usual role but I have resolved this now with my manager.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I feel that what I have learnt as of yet are not actual skills but an understanding of processes and why they are important not only for myself but also to project these for the wider team. I can see similar traits in myself to what I am learning about so have developed these further.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very structured, I'm given clear instructions on goals I should be meeting before my next review with the coach.
Sometimes it can be difficult to book in a review when there are more than myself and the trainer but we get there.

My manager has been brilliant giving me freedom to explore research through shadowing other roles and time away from my desk.

My trainer is very supportive, she quickly understood my learning and personality style.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It definitely has helped me look at my own performance, point out in detail my strengths and areas to work on. I feel like I can see my role through a different perspective as well as others.
