I absolutely loved my programme it was motivating, easy to follow, and it boosted my confidence every step of the way!

Absolutely, the programme boosted my safety awareness, improved my customer service, and made me a more confident, skilled bus driver on the road.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well organised and structured. A big shout‑out to my assessor his mentorship and guidance made the whole journey possible. He even interviewed my younger brother and supported him as well. His consistency, support, and clear direction kept everything on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive strong support from my employer. During a family emergency, my initial request for time off was declined, but once my assessor understood my situation, he immediately stepped in and spoke to my manager on my behalf. Thanks to his support and intervention, I was able to travel abroad when I needed to. This experience showed me how genuinely supportive the company can be, and it convinced me to stay. It also encouraged my younger brother to join Go‑Ahead London.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive excellent support from my training provider. My assessor always stepped in when I needed help and provided guidance that kept me on track with my qualification. His intervention and support made a real difference, and it’s one of the main reasons I have chosen to stay with the company.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It’s boosted my confidence and turned me into a stronger, safer driver across Stockwell’s routes.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are extra‑curricular activities we often have snooker games and BBQ gatherings with colleagues, which help us socialise and build a great team atmosphere.

My tip is to make the most of the support available for me, my assessor played a huge role in shaping both my career and my brother’s career in buses, so don’t be afraid to ask questions and learn from the experienced people around you.
