To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The facilities management degree apprenticeship is a great programme. We have a great cohort with people from various industries and I have been able to share and learn from different peoples work experiences which has enhanced my experience during the course to date.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, modules on leadership, finance, enterprise, innovation, supply chain management and FM logistics.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Great structure. Think learning one module at a time is helpful as an apprentice especially considering work commitments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Have been allowed to block out time for university work when required. Have the ability to manage my workload and university commitments.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Have had regular meetings with learner coach and feedback meetings for assignments when I have had queries. Online refreshers sessions have also been available for select modules.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

While the 3rd year of the course has more dedicated FM modules there have been wider chartered management focused modules in year one and year two that have been beneficial and enhanced my ability in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Ark hosts several networking events and social activities. There are also regular virtual meetings and strategy days.

Why?
Ark is an organisation that full of supportive and hard working individuals that are driven to deliver for schools and pupils within the network. The teams that I have worked in have been great and would recommend anyone to work for the organisation.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Ark?
Research the mission and values of the network and the specific school you wish to apply for and if these resonate with you then I think a role within Ark would be suited to you.
