Overall, how would you describe your experience at Macfarlanes?
Macfarlanes has an excellent culture and is a firm which cares about your development and well-being. You are given plenty of opportunities to grow and develop the skills needed to excel. The training is thorough and the work is both rewarding and stimulating.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Depending on the seat and/or matter in which you are working on, you may find yourself carrying out a variety of tasks. Some of the more typical responsibilities of trainees include drafting and proofreading documents, conducting legal research on a particular issue, or helping contact clients and other professionals in order to progress the matter you are working on. It is very enjoyable being a part of a team where everyone contributes and it is satisfying seeing your work used in the end product.
