Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was a Research and Policy Intern, and so I would complete tasks to help contribute towards the strategy of the organisation, by completing research and drafting documents.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes a lot of responsibility - I set my own daily schedule, as long as I completed the tasks I was assigned.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I recieved a lot of support and guidance, both from my manager, but also the whole team. I had daily meeting with my manager just to discuss development and plans for the daily taks, but also just as a catch up. We also had weeky group meetings so we could understand where each team member was up to on their own tasks.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general culture was very kind and encouraging, and you could go to anyone, eve the director, for advice or help with something. They were very understanding of the work/life balance, and made sure no one worked overtime or travelled anywhere with being compensated for it.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed my internship a lot - not only did I enjoy the tasks as they were engaging and meanginful for the organisation as a whole, but I also enjoyed being part of the team and getting to know everyone.

Would you recommend Just Fair to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Just Fair
I would advise them to be open minded about it being fully remote - I was a bit unsure of how this would be, because I tend to get on with people in person and I did not want to feel excluded or distant, however the team meetings and the approachability of any team member to hop on a call or ask for help made this not an issue at all.
