ITTS Tax intern Review

dealt mainly with US corporations working on mitigating their tax exposures while complying with regulations in countries they are based and operate in.
also compliance work in filing tax returns for high net worth individuals and US corporations.

to an extent as most is confidential but if you are not familiar with the tax realm it becomes really insightful from the get go as you are engrossed with tasks that require you to ask loads of questions to ask as it can seem like a new language at first. I study accounting and finance and felt it was iterating what I knew so it was good as offered more practical insight alongside further learning.

I loved this aspect where interns were given alot opportunity to explore their curious humility in peers journeys and carers as well as roles within the firm.

as someone who was already familiar with the content of the job in terms of knowledge I felt a bit underwhelmed when my peers were learning something new and I didn't have that big of a jump in knowledge attained as I already knew it.
the internship and this role specifically isn't meant for someone with a specific background in a particular academic therefore their was training and talk to widen the knowledge and expertise of 'tax'.
