Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Deal Support: support with credit papers for upcoming deals
- Internal KPI Tasks
- Pipeline, Workflow and Data Management (for the Team and Region)
- Strategy Support: supported with internal strategy for the emerging markets region for our bank
- Business Trips: trip preparation for senior management - from scheduling meetings with clients, ensuring cross-border marketing regulations were met and preparing briefing memos
- Daily News: circulated daily news for the emerging market region to several internal stakeholders

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
- Bilateral meetings with managers to explore avenues of professional growth, feedback on tasks and going through any challenges faced
- Members of team supporting with day-to-day tasks, and being open to explain any unfamiliar concepts
- Invites to external meetings and conferences to expand our industry knowledge and exposure to clients
Support from the department:
- Opportunities were given from department to help out at external client events
- Department lunches and drinks to connect with others in our department outside of our team
Support from the wider Bank:
- HR: placement training week on first week of placement, monthly placement sessions and check-ups, volunteering opportunities and a chance to connect with the placement cohort
- Internal Networks: junior networking groups that allowed me to connect with other junior members of the bank through interactive monthly sessions and socials
