Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was a research assistant on the Language Games Project for Birmingham Community Healthcare (part of the NHS). This involved working on games-based therapy for post-stroke patients, including:
- leading therapy sessions with patients
- transcribing patient data
- storing patient data confidentially
- inputting data into spreadsheets for analysis
- presenting findings to stakeholders
- creating questionnaires to pilot digitalised games
