Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I spoke to the suppliers daily about samples, and I researched and created comp shops. I attended fit sessions and product review meetings. I presented my research and ideas for future garments, and we were also given the ability to go around factories and suppliers.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I have learnt all about the world of buying! I learnt how to communicate with suppliers and gain relationships, I learned about fabrics and how different fabrics work best for different garments. I also learned how important trend research is and how comp shops help influence product ranges.

I receieved alot of support from my manager she was very approachable and helped me even with silly questions!

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was okay, the wider team didn't really put much effort into the placement students, and it sometimes felt like we were outsiders. The company culture was okay, we did have a Christmas party and a summer BBQ, which were nice.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I did enjoy it and it has definalty given me skills i can take into my next jobs and also job applications. I did struggle at partd as it was in the middle of no where and the company was also very small.
