Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an E-commerce Assistant within the Online Department, I was assigned to the Amazon Vendor team, where I co-managed the Amazon UK account. My responsibilities included developing forecasts, overseeing the hold account, coordinating logistics, keying amazon orders, and conducting trend analysis to support strategic decision-making. Alongside this i also completely managed the Amazon UK-EU account which involved the same tasks as the above as well as a much heavier control over logistics due to the added distance and customs requirements.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
During my placement, i was given quite a lot of responsibility. A stand out example is when i was chosen to lead the opening and onboarding of our Amazon Ireland Account. This included myself and others overviewing our amazon catalogue, coming up with a pricing strategy and managing the logistics of getting the physical goods over to Ireland.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
At UP each employee gets a mentor, during the placement you have monthly 1-1 meetings with your mentor where you get to hear and respond to feedback whilst also raising any concerns or ideas. Overall, i would say that the system at UP works very well as each employee feels herd.

I really enjoyed my placement at Ultimate Products, i felt like i was an integral part of the team as well as the wider department. Furthermore, i managed to secure a part time job whilst completing my final year at university.
