Utilised EY Canvas to document audit work, track client progress, and manage deliverables across multiple engagements. Worked directly with clients and senior team members in a fast-paced environment, strengthening my communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.

During my EY Assurance internship, I gained hands-on experience in external audit, developing skills in financial testing, controls walkthroughs, and risk assessment while using EY Canvas and other audit tools. I strengthened my ability to analyse financial data, document findings clearly, and apply professional scepticism. The role also enhanced my client communication, teamwork, and time management skills, as I worked closely with colleagues and clients in the insurance sector to deliver high-quality audit work under tight deadlines.

I really enjoyed my internship at EY as it gave me valuable exposure to external audit in the insurance sector. I particularly liked the balance of technical learning—such as using EY Canvas, testing financial data, and understanding risk assessment—combined with professional development through client interaction and teamwork. The fast-paced environment challenged me but also motivated me, and I appreciated the supportive culture within the team. Overall, it confirmed my interest in audit and gave me confidence in pursuing this career path.
