Overall, how would you describe your experience at British Airways?
Excellent, High quality on the job role specific training and support, wide variety of exciting and interesting placement and experience opportunities across the business, great benefits and work-life balance, well looked after across the board.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Managing technical aspects of aircraft maintenance such as actioning methods of rectifying defects, organising and looking after checks/inspections/modifications/aircraft safety and reliability aspects, managing safety investigations etc.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Well integrated and valued as part of the team, very well supported in gaining competency of role specific tasks, wide variety of opportunities and experiences available
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The compensation is excellent, salary well above UK graduate salary average plus air travel benefits and a wide variety of optional benefits to choose from.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Excellent in-role training and support from highly experienced engineer colleagues, in-depth technical exposure to a wide range of aircraft types and engineering practices, development well planned out with a wide variety of experiences taken into account, exposure to high-profile projects from the start and plenty of opportunities for recognition from senior management
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

New skills learnt daily, excellent support from engineer colleagues developing in-depth technical training, complete open access to all available technical training/informational content e.g aircraft manuals, engineering licence course notes etc. Endless opportunities for skills development for both technical and soft skills.

Excellent open support received from engineering colleagues and managers, colleagues are down-to-earth, approachable, always happy to share their knowledge and support, and effectively guide you along your development
How is your work-life balance?

Normal monday-friday office working days/hours, ability to work from home once a week, plenty of annual leave offered, any 'off' days spent working if necessary for operation, are returned back in lieu as leave days
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Very supportive, inclusive and welcoming, remote working from home allowed once per week. Full of positive individuals across the company. Pleasure to work with.

Be patient, there is many access processes you will need to accomplish and things you will need to learn, but you will be very well supported every step of the way and everything will fall into place, don't worry about anything and enjoy the process
