Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role was to assist with closing procedures with a client, this involved tying through tested values to client stats, communicating issues with the client, and testing for any unrecorded liabilities

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given responsibility over the preparation of multiple documents, as well as the responsibility to manage my time with the numerous tasks that I would have at any one time.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills, such as audit tie throughs, call and casts, and CAPs, as well as gaining an understanding of the testing process. I have also developed skills in communication, excel proficiency, and professionalism.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a massive amount of help from assistant managers and my manager alike. All of them were always readily available and happy to help with any issues I had, as well as spend time to thoroughly explain things to me. My people leader and buddy were also a great support with general office life.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture was very inducive of creating good relationships, as well as learning. The atmosphere was quite relaxed, which allowed for a safe space to ask questions. Everyone was very friendly and it made for an enjoyable work experience.
