Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role is to provide audit service to client companies. My day-to-day activity encompasses spreadsheet work and team meetings. Tasks may include account analysis, fx rate analysis, general spreadsheet updating, and slides formatting.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was given much responsibility and exposed to different kinds of tasks, which were extremely helpful for my career development.

I learnt many new technical skills, including audit basics, accounting knowledge, Excel, and internal tools. I have also developed my professional soft skills in my engagement teams, such as communication, team work, and time management.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot. Ahead of joining the team, I received a full-day induction, and a two-day training session. This gave me a basic idea of audit and the professional skills required. During my internship, I also received enormous amount of support from my engagement. I was always introduced to the background and context when receiving a task. Everyone was highly patient when I turned to them for any questions.
