Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was placed in the Process Automation team in BA Digital. Every morning we would have a debrief of what each member of the team was doing that day and throughout the day I would work on various projects assigned to me.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was able to lead meetings, communicate with senior staff and most of the time had stuff to do.

Yes, I have learnt how to use applications such as Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps and have developed my Excel and analytical skills.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I liked it because it seemed fairly relaxed but people still work hard and are productive. Everybody gets on and there is no animosity from what I can tell. They encourage diversity and inclusion which I like and are always trying to make BA more accessible.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed it because I got to meet and learn from so many experienced professionals and developed existing skills as well as learning new ones. I would definitely recommend this internship as it was challenging but the work is interesting and you gain a sense of fulfillment knowing you're contributing to such an influential organisation.

What advice would you give to others applying to British Airways
Make sure your CV stands out by adding interesting features and accomplishments and BA encourage difference. During the interview ask lots of questions, come prepared and highlight your special interests bonus if they are topical right now, eg sustainability or Artificial Intelligence.
