Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I speak to landlords and tenants, make sure each party complies with the lease, doing building inspections and speaking to the tenant to make sure they are happy where they are, or if there are any problems, we would take it back to the landlord. We do site inspections of buildings, and check the common areas that are covered by service charge to check if they are being taken care of.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given tasks to do and my Manager and I would go through them on a weekly basis

I have developed my skill of networking. Doing this role enabled me to be able to meet new people every day so I have had to work on how to be approachable and memorable to help establish those new connections.

My manager was very supportive and always tried to introduce me to people, new experience, new information, data and software's about the role I was doing.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, they made sure to make me feel included even if they were from a different team.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I am so glad I joined Cushman and Wakefield as an intern as it has been a very new experience working in the corporate world and having actual responsibilities to look over. I was able to have talks and roundtables with many new people in the Birmingham and London offices and learn even more about what the company have to offer.
