Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Building bespoke customer Products/Equipment whilst learning from, on the job training. Machine Tending, preparing the kit for assembly and other jobs. Physical stock take and sorting stores. Assisting in the Warehouse. Testing cobots.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Learning new skills. Everyday is a school day and with the help from my work colleagues, this place enhances my knowledge, as I progress through the apprenticeship.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I originally came from an IT background before starting this job. Whilst being here I have learnt all aspects of engineering including:- CNC machining. Understanding technical drawings. Use of bandsaw and pillar drill along with use of the large saw for cutting aluminium profile. Electrical wiring and Health and Safety.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well organised with set dates for me to hand in my assignments. The college staff are always on hand to help.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer have been extremely supportive through my time working for them. They are always there to listen to any concerns or issues and are willing to step out of their way to ensure I am happy in the work place.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have support from a chap who guides me through VQ Manager. A guy called Jarod who does my reviews.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course gives me a background into electrical engineering. This supplements my on the job training, which includes toolbox training.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have attended quiz night, company events and I have also done volunteering through the company.
