Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Assisting and following a lead engineer in a van to service and repair industrial shutters, assuring they meet current safety standards and function properly. Repairs can range from small replacement components in the system or larger necessary parts which may be damaged to the point of concern.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
A lot, it feels like the right thing to do after completing my Level 3 T-level earlier in the year. The contrast of this being Electrical to what i did prior which was Mechanical means i can gain understanding of more than just one side of fault finding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I believe i have improved on myself in a variety of ways, some of which i had prior, and some i have gained from this experience. Both of which i have had the chance to better apply in a workplace and understand in general.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well, I've had no issues with understanding of the course itself, any questions I've had were answered by both employer and collage appropriately. Collage days are clear to follow and so is working days through the weeks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I gain more experience from colleagues in the workplace about things i didn't know originally, which is completely helpful as normally these questions come with demonstrations as we are on a site completing relative work most of the time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
It can be good at times with the in-collage lessons, but i feel as though the pace of some subtopics can be difficult with the time frame being in collage (One day per week).
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Very, its taught me a lot through my time here, and such knowlage i wont forget.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not really, there are events every now and again but its mainly external plans engineers have which has us socialising.
