As an HR Support Apprentice at Quora Group, I provided day-to-day assistance across key HR functions, supporting both staff and management. My role includes mentoring new apprentices, helping them integrate into the team and develop their professional skills. I also attend university one day a week as part of my apprenticeship program, combining academic learning with hands-on experience. Additionally, I actively participate in networking and career events, contributing to business development and raising awareness of the company’s employer brand.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my course, Quora Group have given me the opportunity to progress my career the best way possible, earn while I learn, hopefully come out with a degree, and be a qualified manager by 24! My career path and goals are truly coming to life! This wouldn't have been possible without the support from Quora Group.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Every Tuesday is set aside for my academic learning, ensuring I have dedicated time to complete my assignments and coursework. My manager is very flexible, allowing me to fully focus on my apprenticeship and well as my workload.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have the flexibility to discuss my apprenticeship with my manager at any time, and she is exceptionally accommodating. This support allows me to fully dedicate myself to my academic learning and complete my assignments and coursework effectively.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I would say that I am provided support when requested, but I'm pleased with my assignments this year as I've passed them all. This shows that the theory being taught is effective.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My apprenticeship is helping me grow as a person and teaching me how to handle various situations with maturity. I can then apply these skills in the workplace. This experience is teaching me a lot about myself and revealing how capable I truly am!
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I attend a lot of social networking events on behalf of the company, for example, we are part of the North east chambers of commerce in which I applied for us to be members and I attend a good amount of their networking events to benefit myself and the company.

I would highly recommend Quora Group to any of my friends. The company has a genuine culture where you are not just a number; it's more like a work family/team. I love coming to work every day and have never dreaded a single day. They invest in their people, which is reflected in their very low staff turnover. This speaks volumes about the company.
