I prepare and file limited companies accounts, VAT returns, CIS returns and confirmation statements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as it allows me to learn things that I do on a day to day basis and the theory behind it and then apply it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills such as the fundamentals of accounting as well as developing skills such as communication through emails, phone calls and meeting clients in person.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured as I will study for a week or slightly longer and then this will prepare me for sitting my exam.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer as I am able to take time off whenever in order to sit a course or an exam. My employer is also very supportive if I have any questions about my apprenticeship they are more than happy to help
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of help as sent lots of resources for after I have sat the course in order to pass my exam
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification massively helps me perform better in my role as it has given me a basic understanding as well as in the next tier of exams I will sit this will be advanced.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I play football with our sister company on the first Tuesday of every month.

Would you recommend Hicks and Company to a friend?

Why?
I would recommend my company as they very supportive to apprentices as you can have little no knowledge and when young it is important to have an employer that is willing to work with you in order to gain knowledge and experience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hicks and Company?
I would advise gaining a basic understanding of accounting in practice, and also show a willingness to work hard.
